The Village of Holly, located in northern Oakland County, Michigan, is a charming small-town community approximately 15 minutes south of Flint. With a population of 6,086 residents, the Village attracts an additional 2,000 visitors during the holiday season and special events, as estimated by the Chamber of Commerce. Holly’s economy thrives on tourism, driven by its historic downtown shops, restaurants, and vibrant annual events.

The Holly Fire Department’s primary response area spans 3 square miles, encompassing residential neighborhoods, light and heavy industrial zones, commercial districts, and rural areas. The department handles approximately 1,000 fire and medical calls annually, including mutual aid requests from neighboring communities.

Providing 24/7 emergency response, the department is equipped to handle a variety of situations, including fire suppression, rescue operations, hazardous materials (HazMat) incidents, technical rescues, and Basic and Advanced Life Support (ALS) medical care and transport. The department also takes an active role in fire prevention, offering services to five local schools and two senior living centers.

Staffed by a dedicated team of over 40 members, the department includes a full-time Chief, part-time staff, and paid-on-call personnel. The station is manned around the clock, 7 days a week, with at least two personnel always on duty, ensuring prompt and professional service to the community.
